| Responsibilities |
- Assist in the month-end close process, including but not limited to preparation of journal entries, consolidation of financial statements, and detailed analysis of general ledger accounts.
- Create, maintain, and map general ledger accounts to improve the company’s financial reporting abilities. Ensure that all activity is properly recorded in the general ledger.
- Interface with management to develop recommendations regarding business planning, operating forecasts, and financial plans.
- Prepare ROI analysis on projects and capital purchases.
- Analyze the company’s expenses against budgeted and historical activity. Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets and monthly forecasts.
- Record, develop, and test internal controls to ensure the company’s proper compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 regulations.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accurate reporting and sound financial controls.
- Develop, prepare, analyze, and distribute financial reports upon request.
- Review accounts payable invoices to ensure proper coding of expenses.
- Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Research and report on industry benchmarks; analyze and compare the company’s results to best practices.
- Assist with related special projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

| Requirements |
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent.
- 1-2 years’ related experience preferred.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of management.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word or equivalent. Hyperion Enterprise experience a plus.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
- Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
- Ability to analyze statistical and financial data, and calculate figures/ amounts.
- Effective reading and writing skills.
- Ability to review printed documents.
