Responsibilities
1) Lead a team of resources in the project
management process
2) Ensure appropriate deliverables are created, including detailed project plans
3) Oversee the completion of conversion projects and program-level planning
4) Ensure 100% compliance with client project management methodology
5) Negotiate and issue project documentation as agreed to by business owner and
involved stakeholders
6) Ensure recognized project management processes, discipline and controls are
consistently applied to projects
7) Oversee the project management process and project management deliverables
for assigned projects
8) Identify all project dependencies and risks and ensure that they are
effectively managed
9) Ensure mitigation/contingency plans are in place for identified risks
10) Execute project management deliverables within budget and as per approved
project plans
11) Work with business partners and project team to develop the content of those
deliverables
12) Control all changes to project scope through accepted change management
processes and documentation
13) Investigate, escalate and ensure that all project issues are resolved
14) Provide advice and guidance to business partners and team members regarding
best practices in project management
15) Develop an understanding of the technical/business aspects of the project in
order to effectively manage projects and resources
16) Provide appropriate reporting on initiatives, including a program-level
dashboard
17) Manage/coach other project managers
18) Provide resource-planning inputs
Requirements
1) 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
(Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred)
2) Experience in WebSphere Portal and Interwoven's TeamSite content management
tool a plus
3) Energetic and action-oriented
