| Responsibilities |
1) Work closely with other functions of the
business during the budgeting process to set financial objectives for the
business
2) Assist with analyzing and reviewing period end results preparing reports to
be reviewed by business stakeholders and the executive team
3) Liaise with our global service center, finance teams to ensure data integrity
and reporting accuracy
4) Assist in the design and tracking of the company bonus plan
5) Monitor intercompany transfer pricing changes and reconcile among customer
pricing, cost of goods and management (BTP) profit
6) Assist Decision Support in business analyses
7) Work closely with Costing and Pricing Departments to correct any pricing
errors with the intercompany team
8) Provide accounting support in monthly balance sheet reconciliations for
various pension, provision, and accrual accounts
9) Monitor government and insurance benefits payments and recoveries
10) Propose action plan to address any pricing process errors in intercompany
pricing
11) Address errors that can result in profit erosion and financial reporting
issues
12) Manage benefit variances between actual spending and recoveries to ensure
all risks are being addressed and forecasted. Any issues can result in
unnecessary P&L impact
13) Liaise with Accounting, IMC, Supply Finance, Global Service Center, Treasury
and Tax
14) Provide quality support to Planning & Reporting, Accounting and Decision
Support
15) Monitor the pricing for the recovery of intercompany profit margins
16) Generate seamless working processes with service center on financial
accounting and reporting
17) Analyze data integrity for all pricing conditions in SAP DAP & DEP system
18) Provide accurate and timely pension and benefit account reconciliations
19) Nurture good working relationships between Accounting, Planning & Reporting,
Global Service Center and other intercompany functional groups
20) Provide accurate and timely financial report to assist others in
decision-making capacity
21) Ensure financial reporting integrity and accuracy and in compliance with
GAAP and company accounting policies
22) Provide effective and consistent internal controls (CARM) for Canada supply
and demand
23) Ensure accuracy and assist with the maintenance of financial reporting
systems (Business Warehouse)
24) Deal with internal functions such as Finance, IMC Sales & Marketing, North
America Supply, Global Service Center, CS Amsterdam, and external service
providers |
| Requirements |
1) Undergraduate degree preferredˇ
2) Enrolled in an accounting program (CMA, CGA, CA)
3) Experience in consumer products industry (preferred)
4) Business or financial analysis experience an asset
5) Strong G/L system skills, SAP knowledge (preferred)
6) Proficient with Excel, databases and Power Point
7) Good understanding of the alcohol beverage industry
8) Understanding of U.S. and U.K. GAAP (preferred)
9) Strong communication skills, with an ability to influence various functional
areas
10) Proficiency in system skills, including knowledge of SAP
11) Sound knowledge of accounting principles
12) Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
13) Ability to work in a team environment
14) Strong organizational skills and understanding of internal controls
15) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision |
