1) Develop and communicate the process and timeline to ensure functional currency assessments are prepared and updated accurately and timely for all foreign operations
2) Coordinate with business units to maintain appropriate documentation and master listing of all assessments
3) Work with Assistant Manager, Hedging to complete procedural manuals for net investment hedges functions
4) Assist in maintaining formal listing of key functions performed
5) Complete full documentation of existing CDN-US GAAP differences and how they are currently captured in the entries/templates received by Head Office
6) Develop process improvements to minimize risk of errors/incompleteness
7) Work with Accounting Policy Group and business units to determine how the adoption of IFRS may impact the company’s CDN-US GAAP Package
8) Act as backup for Assistant Manager, Hedging (50% of the time as working Senior Manager)
9) Provide planning support for quarter-end and year-end reporting, including the coordination of reporting deliverables, and timelines
10) Tracking quarter-end and year-end efficiency metrics/dashboard
11) Work with external auditor to coordinate quarter-end and year-end requirements
12) Manage and coordinate EUC control requirements to ensure ongoing compliance with SOX
13) Act as backup support for P&L close rules for legal entities
14) Provide financial reporting support in quarter-end and year-end financial reporting
15) Participate in streamlining quarter-end projects
Requirements
1) CA
2) FI audit experience (preferred), or experience with other complex businesses
3) Comfortable with a fluid mandate
