1) Prepare month-end financial statements for
several companies
2) Oversee a small accounting staff
3) Post transactions, as necessary, to finalize month-end accruals and
adjustments
4) Implement controls to ensure accuracy, and recommend job realignment and
organizational changes
5) Post month end GL adjustments and accruals, and reconcile sub-ledger accounts
to general ledger
6) Prepare month-end combined and uncombined financial statements and cash flow
projections
7) Conduct a month-end review of actual results against the business plan
8) Prepare a monthly analysis for key executives and present results to senior
executives
9) Assess and implement internal controls necessary to ensure accuracy and
integrity of financial results
10) Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing forecasts for
review by senior management/executives
11) Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules
Requirements
1) Professional accounting designation (i.e.
CMA, CA or CGA)
2) Minimum 7 years of experience in a financial capacity in a food-manufacturing
environment
3) Experience with database management tools
4) EDI experience with accounts receivables/payables an asset
5) Experience in ACCPAC software and Crystal reports a plus
6) Strong documentation and organizational skills
7) Excellent communication skills
