About our client
Our client is a leading Canadian accounting and business consulting firm focused on entrepreneurial business
Position Location
Senior Manager, Corporate Finance Toronto, Ontario
Salary
$150K - $170K Base
Responsibilities
1) Provide support, guidance and mentoring to other members of the team.
2) Work closely with other professional staff in the Assurance, Tax and Specialty Advisory Services lines within the GTA, and nationally (as required)
3) Support the needs of our clients
4) Assume a senior leadership role with the Corporate Finance Team while sourcing and leading numerous engagements
5) Advise clients with all aspects of the acquisition, divestiture, or financing processes
6) Generate new business opportunities through networking and referral sources and generally operate at all times with a robust business development mindset
7) Manage and execute multiple engagements on behalf of the firm’s clients while mentoring and developing junior staff
8) Provide capital market advisory services to clients and prospects
9) Assist with or lead other projects in either Corporate Finance or other Specialist Advisory Service areas as opportunities arise
Requirements
1) CA, CBV, CFA, MBA degree or designations
2) Minimum of three to five years M&A experience
3) Demonstrated relationship-building skills within the external business community
4) Ability to provide a client-focused approach to work
5) Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience to both clients and the external business community
6) Excellent risk management, time management and project management skills
7) Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to work with and develop complex financial models
8) Strong MS Word and PowerPoint skills
9) Ability to manage multiple client engagements while demonstrating a strong focus on business development (both internally as well as externally) in the broader business community
10) Analytical and adaptability skills
11) Results-driven team member who thrives on variety and new challenges
