About our client
Our client is a full service investment management and advisory firm.
Position Location
Manager, Pension Solutions Bermuda
Salary
US$75k
Responsibilities
1) Manage relationship with local pension authorities, third party pension administrators and auditors
2) Develop and implement operational measures to improve the overall governance of the pension funds
3) Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual correspondence to clients, third party pension administrators, pension authorities and internal reports for the senior executives
4) Develop and manage relationships with clients, including preparing proposals and client presentations
5) Review accuracy of pension administrator’s work, including data reconciliations, pension fees collections and pension contributions processed
6) Review status and error reports
7) Manage administration of requests for retirement, prior service, leave of absence and general pension transactions, including, but not limited to terminations, deaths, transfers, beneficiary updates
8) Train and develop participants from Investment Trainee Program to assist in the Pension Department
Requirements
1) Bachelor’s degree combined with 3 years in pension administration, or 5 years of related work experience without
2) Internationally recognized qualification such as Series 7, Canadian Securities Course or the UK equivalent
3) Experience in providing client service to investment advisory and pension clients
4) Experience in training and supervising staff
5) Knowledge of pension regulations and legislations, and willingness to learn Bermuda pension law and international anti-money laundering policies
6) Strong propensity for follow-through
7) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
8) Strong PC skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
9) Mature, enthusiastic and committed to work
10) Ability to be accountable for deadlines and accuracy
11) Strong problem-solving abilities
12) Willingness to work extended hours at peak periods
