| Responsibilities |
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for: • Analyzing cost data on a local level to produce relevant decision making tools used by senior management to make sound business decisions. • Performing detailed variance analysis and providing commentary on a monthly basis. Identifying major variances to minimize unfavorable situations and insure knowledge transfers of best practices, which result in reduced operating costs. • Working closely with factory managers when completing the operating budget to ensure all forecasts are accurate and completed in the specified timelines. • Completing monthly latest estimate for each Quarter and Full year variances versus operating budget. • Working closely with local DMO and the regional group ensuring that SAP system related cost issues are promptly identified and resolved. • Developing and implementing action plans to address variance issues/best practices to positively impact COGS. • Working closely with the Regional Supply Chain team to produce new product costing data for new product launches.

| Requirements |
• A university degree in Finance or Accounting plus a financial designation completed or in progress in (CMA, CGA CA).
• 5+ years manufacturing accounting experience with a strong knowledge of manufacturing procedures and hands on
• As a business partner with senior managers the incumbent should:
• Possess a solid understanding of financial and cost accounting manufacturing reporting systems with a thorough understanding of financial forecasting methods and, budget development.
• Perform complex financial analyses of financial and cost accounting manufacturing reports and summarize for senior management.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills (oral written and listening) and sound interpersonal skills relating both to peers and corporate management
• Have strong computer skills including Excel and SAP
