| Responsibilities |
1) Advise clients on strategies for reducing their federal as well as provincial corporate income and capital taxes 2) Work under direction to analyze and address clients' requirements 3) Prepare corporate tax returns 4) Work as part of the Tax Team and service, plan as well as comply with client’s needs 5) Participate in a broad range of tax-related work requiring analysis, assessment, and quantification 6) Prepare and review tax provisions 7) Assist senior staff members in all aspects of corporate tax initiatives 8) Interact with other team members 9) Assist with development and implementation of tax planning strategies for various clients |
| Requirements |
1) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (from an accredited university) 2) Certified CA, CGA, or CPA (or designation in progress) 3) Part I of CICA In-depth Tax Course (completed) and enrolled in Part II of CICA In-depth Tax Course 4) Progressive tax experience in a Canadian CA firm 5) Experience in preparing corporate tax returns preferred 6) Expertise in developing and implementing tax solutions for small businesses 7) Knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques of public accounting 8) Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles related to procedures, accounting as well as accounting systems and procedures 9) Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel along with experience in using Windows applications 10) Superb technical tax knowledge with the ability to create customized results for a variety of clients 11) Excellent research and analytical skills
12) Good organizational skills with ability to multi-task 13) Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff 14) Ability to analyze complex accounting, fiscal, and technical information 15) Ability to deal effectively with partners as well as internal and external clients and other public agencies
16) Ability to develop and document detailed technical fiscal procedures 17) Ability to plan tasks so that fiscal matters are dealt with appropriately and reports are produced in a timely and accurate manner 18) Ability to prepare clear and comprehensive fiscal analyses as well as reports 19) Professional demeanour |
