| Responsibilities |
1) Direct, oversee, and plan audits 2) Resource
requirements and/or operational processes to ensure audits are executed and
completed as per established standards as well as within prescribed time,
budget, and scope parameters 3) Contribute to the strategic direction of Audit Division for the development of audit plans 4) Identify emerging trends and issues across audits by providing input to the team and/or senior management 5) Develop and/or monitor the business plan and expense budget for specific areas in accordance with the overall divisional audit plan
6) Represent Audit on internal/external committees and provide specialized
subject matter expertise to clients, Audit Division, and/or regulators relating
to policies, procedures as well as processes for area 7) Conduct audits as well as oversee and/or execute the follow-up of findings arising from internal audits and regulatory reviews in accordance with policy
8) Manage the ongoing audit communications and/or the reporting process with the
client, senior management, and external auditors for specific and/or overall
audit area 9) Lead/implement and/or conduct due diligence process for potential acquisitions/regulatory initiatives/projects and/or special investigations (as required)
10) Protect clients’ interests by keeping abreast of emerging issues, evolving
regulatory requirements, and assessing potential impacts across the bank and/or
the specific business/audit area 11) Ensure issues are appropriately
communicated to the management 12) Lead the risk assessment process and/or
provide expertise on regulatory issues to identify key risks and provide
recommendations to the business in developing new approaches and/or appropriate
controls to mitigate these risks 13) Ensure strong understanding of current business risks to adequately assess business impacts
14) Conduct research to identify benchmark and/or best practices for risk
management across businesses 15) Develop/coordinate internal reporting process
16) Manage a team of professional resources (directly/indirectly) and/or
actively develop, recruit, train, coach, and conduct performance assessments for
team members 17) Develop and manage the team 18) Promote and foster a
cohesive team and positive work environment that encourages innovation,
creativity, and collaboration 19) Build and maintain positive working relationships by effectively communicating and regularly sharing information, issues/points of interest and knowledge with the team as well as internal and external business partners
20) Support management and other team members in achieving individual,
divisional and team goals 22) Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to
resources on an audit by audit/project basis 23) Implement key projects/initiatives and/or manage external regulatory relationship and requirements
24) Demonstrate a broad awareness of audit-related issues at the enterprise,
regulatory, and industry level and act as a specialized resource to other
departments based on subject matter expertise 25) Handle risk identification and analysis across various business units
26) Assist in auditing various business units (as required) 27) Plan and lead a variety of audit assignments and work within a team environment
28) Make recommendations to the senior management of the auditee business units
29) Communicate with a variety of stakeholders including senior executives,
regulators, and external auditors |
