| Responsibilities |
1) Perform diversified accounting and auditing assignments under the direction of supervisor, manager or partner 2) Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of professional and company standards 3) Meet time constraints and client deadlines 4) Build client relationships and maintains smooth working relationship 5) Work effectively within given budgetary parameters as well as assist staff in prioritizing and managing their workload 6) Approach projects with a sense of urgency and is completion orientated. 7) Participate in planning and scheduling client engagements 8) Direct and instruct assistants, where applicable, in work to be performed and working paper review 9) Determine the extent of test-checking required in an audit and select the transactions to be tested 10) Prepare and index working papers as well as perform various procedures established under generally accepted accounting principles to verify accuracy and validity of client’s financial matters 11) Prepare routine correspondence to client for approval and signature of a Partner as well as write comments for management letters 12) Draft reports including footnotes 13) Perform the broadest range of accountant tasks so that direct participation of supervisors, managers, or Partners is kept to a minimum 14) Enters time and expenses to support efficient billing processes 15) Review and monitors staff time 16) Prepare other reports, projects and duties as may be assigned 17) Supervise one or more staff and semi-senior accounts on assigned engagements and instructs them in work to be performed 18) Reviews work done and directs necessary revisions 19) Perform such other duties as may be assigned |
| Requirements |
1) Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting, demonstrating a progression in complexity of auditing and accounting tasks and tax knowledge 2) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting 3) Minimum 40 hours of continuing professional education is required each year 4) Current and valid CPA’s license (or working toward the license by taking and passing the applicable state CPA exam)
5) Member in good standing with the AICPA (if licensed) 6) Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English
7) Cooperative and responsive to training, supervision and constructive feedback
8) Ability to maintain appropriate compliance with all Firm wide and local policies and procedures
9) Proficient in computers and computer accounting software programs 10) Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles and personal income taxes 11) Ability to organize work and projects, prioritize and meet deadlines, and ability to complete work in an efficient and accurate manner 12) Ability to reason and multi-task |
