Position Location Director, Wind & Hydro Development West Coast, US Salary Reports to Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Senior Management Responsibilities 1) Provide overall direction and guidance of the project development planning, project management and regulatory aspect 2) Lead interface with internal and external contacts 3) Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the company's overall strategy 4) Manage complex contract negotiation and work with legal counsel as required 5) Ensure that projects are delivered within safety, environmental, technical, regulatory and financial objectives 6) Partner effectively with operations to ensure seamless transition from development and design to implementation 7) Develop strategies to ensure effective achievement of technical and development initiatives 8) Assess the processes and procedures of the development platform with an ultimate goal of improving execution capabilities 9) Maintain an overview of the relevant business and competitive environment, including regulatory and environmental legislation Requirements 1) BS in Engineering (Electrical, Civil or Mechanical) 2) Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in managing and leading teams in design and construction of power generation projects 3) Experience in supporting business development efforts and business planning 4) Knowledge of various industry standards, safety and environmental regulations 5) Excellent technical, conceptual and financial skills 6) Ability to lead and motivate team efforts towards accomplishing goals 7) Proven ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team
