Management |
| Responsibilities |
1) Determine existing and potential production bottlenecks and take appropriate action 2) Investigate accidents, environmental occurrences and other incidence in a timely fashion, to take immediate corrective action and to complete appropriate reports 3) Report to the Superintendent and Manager P&R each shifts significant activities, existing and potential bottlenecks, quality concerns and opportunities 4) Manage the P&R during night shifts and weekends and report to on call person and/or Superintendent as required 5) Provide support to Ops Specialist by supervising and coaching shift operating and maintenance employees (particularly on the off shifts) to achieve maximum performance including the recommendation of disciplinary action 6) Ensure each day the mill is operated in accordance with health, safety and environmental regulation and company policy 7) Promote and provide a safe work place and implement and maintain a health & safety and house keeping programs 8) Support the implementation of systems to meet QMS (ISO 9001-2), EMS (ISO 14001) and OHSAS (18001) standards 9) Comply with collective agreement and foster sound union/management/employee relations 10) Ensure mill operations as per standard operating procedures 11) Remain apprised of current SOPs |
| Requirements |
1) 4-year Engineering Degree 2) Past experience in Steam and Recovery and/or Pulp 3) Coordinate operation and maintenance activities in Power & Recovery 4) Maximise production while meeting cost, health & safety, environment, quality and human resource objectives 5) Ensure compliance with Corporate Principles & Guidelines and applicable legislation |
