Position Location Senior Geotechnical Engineer British Columbia Salary Reports to Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management Responsibilities 1) Geotechnical/Civil engineering design 2) Regulatory permitting 3) Technical specification and bid package preparation 4) Construction material evaluation 5) To coordinate both design office and site work activities 6) Ability to optimize designs and write technical reports, and a requirement to travel from time to time to project sites on domestic and international projects 7) Build and mentor a strong internal team 8) Maintain and develop client relationships Requirements 1) Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geological engineering 2) P.Eng registration or eligibility for registration in British Columbia 3) Minimum of 6 to 8 years of design experience 4) Work experience should include some of the following: • Geotechnical/civil engineering designs • Regulatory permitting • Technical specification and bid package preparation • Construction material evaluations 5) Practical work experience specifically related to mining project development including tailings dams, waste dumps, heap leach facilities, mining rock mechanics, piping systems and heap leach and waste management facilities 6) Experience in the consulting industry and dealing directly with clients is a necessary pre-requisite 7) Fluent in English
