Management |
| Responsibilities |
1) Ensures that operational divisions have the right human and other resources to meet or exceed operational objectives and project delivery both for current and expected projects
2)
Participates in recruitment, training, discipline and termination of staff as
necessary 3) Assesses the market, client and competitive trends summarizing external market influences and anticipating marketplace behavior and trends for their divisional market segment 4) Prepares a detailed annual operation plan including revenue projections derived from forecasts broken down by existing and potential clients for their division 5) Prepares or leads the preparation of proposals directed at strategic accounts, including presentations to key accounts 6) Continuously assesses the marketplace and competitors to identify business opportunities to maintain a full pipeline 7) Actively pursues opportunities to expand existing client relationships and create new relationships 8) Reviews relevant communications to ensure they are produced to internal guidelines and quality standards 9) Engages in project management for projects of larger scope and complexity

Maintains up-to-date knowledge in own discipline or specialization as well as
the broader organization, industry and market place |
| Requirements |
1) 4 year Engineering or technical degree with professional designation (or equivalent) and advanced technical skills 2) 10+ years of direct experience in related engineering 3) Strong people management and communication skills 4) Ability to present to key accounts in both formal and informal settings 5) Ability to apply innovative thinking and analysis skills to solve complex problems 6) Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions 7) Understanding of cost and risk management issues relevant to the consulting engineering business 8) Skilled in the application of tools and methodologies used for product and service delivery such as Autocad, HHA Drawing Standards, Plotters, office productivity applications |
