About our client
Our client is a major distributor of fluid handling, processing heating and control products.
Position Location
Account Manager San Jose, CA
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Sales Manager
Responsibilities
1) Understand and work towards corporate vision, mission, purpose and values
2) Develop and achieve annual sales plan
3) Analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats within assigned territory as part of the annual plan and updates quarterly
4) Manage time and territory to maximize opportunities within the market
5) Submit first draft of the plan to management
6) Use and complete corporate sales strategy template
7) Attain goals for revenue, product mix, market segment and margin
8) Identify and prioritize key accounts with potential
9) Balance the focus on existing accounts with prospecting activities
10) Set aside 15% of time for calling on new business
11) Identify applications and projects within current accounts that are served by competitors
12) Displace the competition to reach quarterly targets
13) Understand the technical aspects of the business
14) Complete all provided product training and develop a plan within 30 days of completion
15) Focus on enhancing knowledge and capabilities of the product offerings by completing manufacturers’ product training
16) Schedule 5 joint calls with significant opportunities
17) Execute a customer focused and value added sales process
18) Facilitate an on-going customer needs analysis
19) Work to deliver solutions beyond the product to key targeted customers and prospects
20) Identify and execute a plan for re-educating the key accounts on the total capabilities of the company to earn opportunities for additional sales
21) Focus upon cross selling of family of products
22) Facilitate and coordinate corporate assets to achieve objectives within account base
23) Work within strategic pricing guidelines where 85% of annual sales do not deviate from the plan
24) Operate safely, legally, ethically and professionally
25) Interface and communicate in a positive and professional manner with all employees, suppliers and customers
26) Prepare and positively contribute during all sales and corporate meetings
Requirements
1) Bachelor’s degree (4 year) with a technical aptitude
2) 5 years of professional experience in sales and filtration
3) Strong communication skills
4) Self-motivated and well organized individual
5) Valid driving license Compensation Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
