Management |
| Responsibilities |
1) Assume project management role in the civil engineering practice area including business development and some staff management 2) Manage major construction projects 3) Prepare designs, specifications, plans, estimates and reports for the development or modification of public and private facilities and infrastructure 4) Manage design and construction for facility and infrastructure projects including contract documents, time and budget estimates and change orders as required 5) Review and oversee development plans for adequacy of application and conformance to federal, state and local laws and regulations 6) Conduct advanced and complex engineering and related studies as well as evaluate alternatives 7) Make recommendations and prepare reports for engineering projects 8) Monitor and manage the day-to-day operations of projects including developing short- and long-range goals as well as objectives and budgets 9) Coordinate activities with co-workers, clients and government entities and oversee maintenance of records 10) Monitor and approve budgets and expenditures as well as oversee reporting requirements 11) Evaluate program or project service delivery and cost effectiveness 12) Supervise and mentor support staff on a day-to-day or project basis 13) Determine workloads and schedules 14) Assist in developing, implementing and interpreting policies and procedures |
| Requirements |
1) BS in Civil Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred) 2) P. Eng. license (California) 3) Minimum 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in engineering design (public works and municipal) and project management after registration as a California-licensed Civil Engineer 4) Experience in project accomplishments with public municipalities and/or service districts including wastewater treatment, disposal solutions, lift stations, collections systems, water treatment facilities and pump specifications 5) Valid California Class C driver's license
6) Excellent communication skills |
