Position Location Senior Bridge Engineer Mississauga, ON Salary Reports to Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management Responsibilities 1) Design and manage the delivery of transportation structure projects, highway, railway and pedestrian and movable bridges 2) Inspect and evaluate the assigned project 3) Design and manage retaining walls, transit stations, drainage structures and special projects 4) Prepare tenders and review shop drawing 5) Design projects, analyze and estimate the cost of the project 6) Oversee construction 7) Liaise with clients and help in business development 8) Write proposals and mentor employees for the senior position 9) Oversee quality control and assurance Requirements 1) BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred) 2) P. Eng. license 3) 8 – 10 years of demonstrated experience in the area of structural design and bridge engineering 4) Experience in planning, preliminary design and detailed design of new bridges and rehabilitation of existing bridges 5) Expertise in designing bridges of standard and complex geometry as well as culverts 6) Experience in bridge condition surveys and construction-phase structural liaison 7) Strong working knowledge of structural analysis software such as SAP200, STAAD and CANBAS 8) Thorough knowledge of current design codes and standards 9) Excellent written and oral communication skills
