| Responsibilities |
1) Provide technical support to company’s fleet of generating stations and/or construction projects 2) Work with power station staff to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions 3) Develop proposals and business cases for capital improvements 4) Plan, design and install upgrades and additions to electrical, control and instrumentation systems 5) Undertake performance and condition assessments 6) Support major maintenance activities 7) Support the development of engineering standards and practices 8) Manage the work of independent contractors to ensure outcomes are consistent with contracted services 9) Supervise and mentor EITs and junior engineering staff |
| Requirements |
1) BS in Electrical Engineering from a recognized post secondary institution 2) Registration with APEGGA as an Engineer, or eligibility for registration 3) Minimum 6 years of applicable work experience 4) Experience in designing and constructing electrical and I&C systems 5) Proven, successful project management experience 6) Strong knowledge of the power industry would be an asset 7) Ability to plan, organize and implement activities successfully 8) Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills 9) Well-developed interpersonal skills and proven leadership abilities in a multi-discipline team environment 10) Ability to work effectively in a team environment 11) Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) |
