| Responsibilities |
1) Provide and maintain an effective management structure, team and guidance to support the project managers and their respective teams 2) Implement operating policy, set objectives and standards for the operations workforce 3) Work closely with the project managers to reinforce priorities and plan to ensure all objectives are met 4) Observe and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations 5) Monitor and provide input on work plan and the financial budget forecasting process 6) Ensure effective implementation of safety and environmental programs 7) Monitor the environmental programs in order to meet or exceed business safety and environmental objectives 8) Create a work environment that aligns the workforce with the goals and objectives of the business by communicating those objectives 9) Implement systems to ensure that appropriate levels of responsibility and accountability are established 10) Develop operational plans to meet client needs in a safe and cost-effective manner 11) Plan, direct and coordinate production activities by working with all departments and direct reports 12) Develop and maintain a mature working relationship with the IBEW 1928 13) Examine incoming job bids and contracts to ensure resources are available to meet contract commitments 14) Liaise closely with company leadership team to plan projects, engineering work and other inter-related activities 15) Create and monitor operational processes to maximize adherence to operational standards, rules and regulations 16) Document requirements, plans, solutions and quality control measures 17) Create and manage operational budget to ensure proper utilization of all resources 18) Ensure effective monitoring of all vehicle and trailer inspections, maintenance and operating procedures 19) Track unit costs on a daily basis to maximize business results 20) Ensure continuous effective communication with key customers |
| Requirements |
1) BS in Electrical Engineering 2) P. Eng. license and eligibility for A.P.E.N.S membership 3) Minimum 10 – 15 years of industry experience preferred (equivalent qualifications and experience would be considered) 4) Demonstrated leadership qualities 5) Good working knowledge of safety and environmental legislation and practices |
