Small flies, particularly fruit (vinegar) flies, can quickly become a serious issue in a food processing facility. Operations that produce or use vinegar, juice plants, canneries, wineries, are particularly vulnerable. However, almost any type of food and beverage production facility can be affected by these pests. In fact, fruit flies, hump-backed (phorid) flies and drain flies are some of the most common and troublesome pests encountered throughout the food industry. |
