About our client
Our client has been providing the highest quality processed meat products to customers in Europe and North America over the past century. The company’s customers include many North American supermarkets, restaurants, fast food chains and food retailers.
Position Location
HACCP Coordinator Ontario
Salary Reports to
Commensurate with experience Plant Manager
Responsibilities
1) Oversee Food Safety Programs, including HACCP, Safety Audits & GMPs to ensure compliance, accuracy and effectiveness
2) Focus on continuously improving the food safety for unionized meat-processing plant
3) Observe standard operating procedures, work with production staff to implement improvements to production techniques that increase food safety and participate in food safety meetings, perform audits, and work closely with the CFIA
Requirements
1) Degree in Food/Micro/Agri/Chemistry
2) 3+ years experience in HACCP and GMP
3) Strong communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills
4) Ability to critically and analytically solve problems
5) Superior time management skills with the ability to multi-task
6) Detail orientated, but creative in thinking
7) Demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize work
8) Thorough knowledge of food regulations, food safety programs and OHSA
9) Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
10) Food manufacturing experience desired
