About our client
Our client is a leading producer of tomato paste in North America. The company is driven by a single purpose of focusing all resources and experience on growing, processing and packaging the highest quality tomato products in the world.
Position Location
HR/Accounting Manager California
Salary Reports to
Commensurate with experience Director Finance/Vice President Operations
Responsibilities
1) Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations with relevance to HR functions
2) Recruit, interview, test and select employees to fill vacant positions
3) Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude
4) Keep records of benefits plan participation, personnel transactions and employee statistics for government reporting
5) Co-ordinate with management in conducting training programs, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review and safety
6) Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
7) Oversee salary administration and performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within organization
8) Administer benefits programs
9) Prepare budget of human resources operations
10) Handle employee separation notices and related documentation and conduct exit interviews
11) Prepare reports and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover
12) Represent organization at personnel-related hearing and investigations
13) Direct internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative control
14) Establish system controls for new financial systems and improve existing systems
Requirements
1) Bachelor’s degree (4 year)
2) In-depth knowledge of government/legal affairs with regards to manufacturing, people management, etc
3) Background in management, reporting, analyzing data/reports, hiring, firing, etc
4) Experience in administering/managing all HR and Accounting activities
5) 5-25 years’ experience
