About our client
Our client is a leading manufacturer of sauces, condiments, fillings, etc. with sales around $100 million. Quality and consistency are maintained every step of the way, from processing to packaging are hallmarks of the company’s products.
Position Location
Quality Engineer New York
Salary Reports to
Commensurate with experience Quality Manager
Responsibilities
1) Enhance quality/food safety programs
2) Improve MICS & HACCP score compliance
3) Effectively manage technical staff and execute business plan objectives
4) Ensure all quality programs (HACCP, PQMS, ISO), systems and compliance meet corporate specifications
5) Provide leadership/guidance to HACCP coordinator
6) Lead efforts to ensure all internal and external audits are completed above acceptable levels
7) Work within framework of approved procedures, policies, processes and budgets to implement and manage all quality initiatives including training, documentation, product safety, product traceability, end-use characteristics process testing and labeling
8) Ensure zero defects in products
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) mandatory
2) Ability to drive and run quality projects
3) Experience in HACCP, Pest Control, Product Conformance & Audits, etc.
4) Quality Engineering/Supervisor role background in food industry
5) 2-15 years’ experience preferred
