About our client
Our client is a leading beverage/bottling supplier with multiple facilities across North America and one of the largest beverage companies in the world.
Position Location
Product Availability Supervisor California
Salary Reports to
Commensurate with experience Management
Responsibilities
1) Manage efficient loading of route and transport trucks
2) Optimize transport routes to minimize cost through effective use of back-haul opportunities
3) Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to fulfill daily sales needs
4) Provide timely service to sales department while minimizing warehouse and production costs
5) Supervise general labor personnel within loading operation
6) Ensure adequate staffing, direction and discipline
7) Utilize optimal number of hourly personnel to fulfill service requirements
8) Minimize labor costs while providing timely service
9) Provide accurate and timely departmental reports
10) Complete staffing reports on daily/weekly basis
11) Ensure timecards are properly completed and coded
12) Manage inventory control system to include daily and period inventory counts
13) Maintain all housekeeping and safety standards
14) Ensure raw materials and full goods are properly stored and protected
15) Improve plant audit performance and work environment
16) Instruct and train personnel in proper safety procedures and regulations
17) Eliminate avoidable accidents and improve plant safety performance
18) Train and motivate front-line employees through effective communication
19) Conduct quarterly business reviews
Requirements
1) Willing to work second shift
2) 3-5 years’ supervisory experience
3) Spanish knowledge preferred
4) Knowledge of unionized environment
5) Ability to flex working times to accommodate inventory control
6) Strong process improvement skills
7) PC literate
8) Analytical and logistics knowledge
9) Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
10) Experience in beverage or consumer products industry
11) Minimum 7-15 years’ experience preferred
