About our client
Our client is a leading supplier of freeze-dried food ingredients and other specialty products across North America. The company has been in operation for more than three decades.
Position Location
Quality Manager Greater Toronto Area
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience President
Responsibilities
1) Enhance quality/food safety programs and improve MICS & HACCP score compliance
2) Effectively manage technical staff and execute business plan objectives
3) Ensure all quality programs (HACCP, PQMS, ISO), systems, and compliance meet corporate specifications
4) Provide leadership/guidance to HACCP coordinator
5) Lead efforts to ensure that all internal and external audits are completed above acceptable levels
6) Work within framework of approved procedures, policies, processes, and budgets to implement and manage all quality initiatives
7) Perform customer compliant investigation
8) Maintain and update product formulations
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) mandatory
2) 5+ years of experience in Quality Management (or Leadership)
3) Background in Meat Industry preferred
4) Strong knowledge of HACCP and CFIA
5) Ability to handle troubleshooting situations
6) Proven skills in problem solving and decision-making
