About our client
Our client is a publicly owned dairy products manufacturer. The company has been in operation for more than 25 years and has over 8000 employees worldwide.
Position Location
Maintenance Manager Nearest Metro City: Saskatoon, SK
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management
Responsibilities
1) Lead, develop, and mentor a team of skilled technical trades staff
2) Implement and maintain all process/packaging technologies including capital projects and building maintenance within the operating budget
3) Partner with senior management, Engineering, and suppliers to introduce technologies to optimize safety, quality, line-efficiencies, and equipment reliability
4) Manage projects from coordination and approval of maintenance activities with vendors to preventative maintenance planning and labour scheduling within a continuous operation
5) Participate in fiscal budget preparation, capital requests, and P&L analysis
6) Foster continuous improvement activities, reduction of equipment downtime/changeovers, capacity planning, waste/scrap reduction, and cost control
7) Monitor accurate invoicing of parts and equipment, ensuring return credits are received
8) Ensure equipment and building is in compliance with standards, codes, and regulations
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) in Engineering and technical training (or Diploma with trade certification)
2) Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance/engineering (food or consumer packaged goods industry) along with budgeting and analytical skills
3) Union experience with excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
