About our client
Our client is a publicly owned manufacturer of snacks and confectionery products. The company has been in operation for more than 25 years and has annual sales of over $4B.
Position Location
Food Process Optimization Engineer Nearest Metro City: Hershey, PA
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management
Responsibilities
1) Identify (proactively) novel/unique product or process opportunities
2) Initiate, formulate, evaluate and present manufacturing alternatives
3) Demonstrate and apply knowledge of business aspects for prioritization, solution development as well as execution of assignments
4) Develop new/continuous-improvement process solutions for existing systems
5) Create conceptual and detailed engineering design
6) Make cost estimates
7) Develop projects as well as specify and obtain bids
8) Supervise installation
9) Provide maintenance and production operator training
10) Identify and recommend changes related to regulatory codes and standards
11) Serve as an organizational representative in external supplier negotiations
12) Identify comprehensive engineering opportunities to drive business results
Requirements
1) BS in Chemical, Agricultural, Food or Mechanical Engineering
2) Engineering/operations experience (food/pharma industry), excellent leadership and communication skills with fluency in foreign languages (Spanish, Portuguese and Asian languages)
3) Individual with impeccable integrity and ability to work in a team as well as willingness to travel – up to 50%
