Management |
| Responsibilities |
1) Plan, direct and lead maintenance, infrastructure and engineering of the meat-processing facility 2) Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and government regulations regarding equipment, hazardous materials and construction within the facilities 3) Provide leadership for Maintenance personnel 4) Support facilities and production operations 5) Train, administer and control personnel required to perform current maintenance workload
6) Oversee worker performance and utilization in maintenance 7) Handle purchase, inventory control as well as management of all parts and supplies for the department 8) Oversee P&L targets and forecast delivery for department including fixed costs 9) Support maintenance mechanics to obtain the desired performance levels as per company policies and procedures 10) Establish minimum level of performance considered satisfactory 11) Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, PSM, HAZMAT, RMP and local ordinances 12) Assign personnel as well as obtain materials necessary for prompt and effective repairing of equipment and facilities 13) Develop and build on current capabilities to prepare associates for successful job performance as well as career advancement 14) Evaluate system performance for cost savings and improved plant operations 15) Design, co-ordinate and implement projects to improve the process 16) Research current practices as well as maintain advance technical knowledge to inform associates of current standards and new developments
17) Manage project-related capital improvements 18) Coordinate and manage all outside services as well as contractors (related to on-going maintenance and projects) 19) Ensure all operations start-up on schedule and maintain down time at budgeted levels |
| Requirements |
1) BS in Engineering 2) Minimum 10 years of
experience in maintenance (frozen or perishable products), including 5 years in
a supervisory role (P&L and budgeting) 3) Experience in ammonia refrigeration |
