About our client
Our client is a privately owned food manufacturer. The company has been in operation for more than 50 years and employs 250 people at two locations.
Position Location
Quality Control Supervisor Nearest Metro City: Dallas, TX
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management
Responsibilities
1) Ensure that products meet high standards and expectations in addition to complying with quality and food safety regulations
2) Supervise raw and finished product testing (microbiological and chemical) lab analysis including, but not limited to pH, titrations, density and viscosity
3) Maintain/manage HACCP plan accurately and efficiently
4) Schedule, plan and implement assignments related to food safety and quality assurance to enhance effectiveness
5) Monitor inspection as per company SSOPs (Sanitation and Standard Operating Procedures)
6) Update any and all pertinent information necessary in meeting high food safety and quality standards
7) Perform food-safety training with managers, supervisors and hourly associates (as needed)
8) Interact effectively with USDA personnel
9) Assist with HACCP-related functions and activities
10) Supervise quality control system’s data entry, daily QA log use and document reviews for compliance
11) Investigate customer complaints and returns
12) Gather data for evaluation, testing and/or disposition
13) Assist with other administrative duties and technical documentation
14) Perform positional duties along with supporting the department
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year)
2) Experience in USDA and HACCP with food manufacturing background
3) Excellent supervisory and people skills as well as fluency in Spanish a plus
