About our client
Our client is a privately owned processor of poultry products. The company has been in operation for less than 5 years and has over $14M in annual sales.
Position Location
Plant Manager Nearest Metro City: Saskatoon, SK
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management
Responsibilities
1) Maintain/improve cost of operations on all production and distribution processes
2) Set benchmarks and lead the team through steps to achieve them
3) Maintain/improve productivity standards
4) Mentor/develop the Supervisory Team in concert with Human Resources
5) Ensure that production schedules and results are communicated to the entire plant staff
6) Handle production, warehousing, and packaging
7) Ensure safe, efficient, and quality operation
8) Handle all aspects of the processing operation including budgeting, planning, directing and operations as well as financial forecasting
9) Implement cost-effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, and labour
10) Provide leadership, direction, and training to employees to accomplish company goals and objectives
11) Coordinate manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers
12) Obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machinery, and equipment
13) Identify improvement opportunities and lead change
14) Provide input to the development of product strategy as well as research and development of new and emerging products
15) Participate in management activities to support the company's long-term plans
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year)
2) Minimum 10 years of experience in a fast-paced meat-processing facility (poultry preferred) and good understanding of HACCP, GMPs, quality, sanitation, maintenance and production
3) Excellent organizational and communication (oral and written) skills
