Position Location Packaging Development Specialist Nearest Metro City: Leamington, ON Salary Reports to Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management Responsibilities 1) Manage packaging projects, which encompass developing equipment layouts and specifications, supervising equipment installation and start-ups 2) Develop master plans for each facility 3) Coordinate packaging projects with vendors, plant personnel, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Engineering Teams 4) Develop packaging equipment scope definition as well as manage schedules and documentation from designing phase to installation, on time and within budget 5) Provide innovative technical solutions to meet business objectives 6) Develop a master plan for packaging to include line layout, material handling and utilities required for projected growth 7) Bridge communication gaps between vendors, engineers and co-workers Requirements 1) Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering 2) 3 – 5 years of experience in filling/packaging equipment in food and beverage industry with knowledge of consumer packaging, Labeling Act and food regulations with respect to Canadian Food and Drugs Act 3) Strong leadership and great interpersonal skills
