About our client
Our client is a privately owned baked goods manufacturer. The company has been in operation for more than 50 years and has over $1.2M in annual sales revenue.
Position Location
Production Supervisor Nearest Metro City: Dallas, TX
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management
Responsibilities
1) Oversee production lines and operations in the bakery under the supervision of the Production Manager
2) Ensure quality of product and delivery to Distribution
3) Supervise production employees
4) Work closely with all other departments in the bakery – Maintenance, Sanitation and Shipping
5) Oversee start-up including calculating orders, checking dough sheet, equipment condition and temperature settings
6) Monitor product quality, make formula change as directed and change notes
7) Supervise personnel, coordinate training, schedule personnel, review shift cards and fill in on an emergency basis
8) Prepare and review various Production reports
9) Coordinate production with Maintenance and Sanitation Departments to minimize downtime
10) Confirm orders placed and separate them before sending it to shipping
11) Ensure product is delivered on time as per transport schedule
12) Implement safety and sanitation guidelines
13) Investigate all accidents and complete required documentation
14) Ensure compliance with AIB standards, company policies and government regulations
Requirements
1) AIB courses
2) Hands-on production background in the food industry (bakery strongly preferred)
3) Previous supervisory skills and union experience
