About our client
Our client is a wholesale producer of meat and poultry products for the food service segment. The company has been in operation for more than 50 years and has over $50M in annual sales.
Position Location
2nd Shift Poultry Team Lead Nearest Metro City: Indianapolis, IN
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management
Responsibilities
1) Lead a staff of 4 poultry processors
2) Support night shipping operations and coordinate processing/orders with shipping needs
3) Set up shift for production and unload product from trucks
4) Perform quality control duties as directed by the Quality Control Supervisor
5) Check the accuracy of product produce and orders filled
6) Keep cooler clean and the product rotated
7) Fill orders quickly and accurately by reading printed pick tickets
8) Use multi-cut machine to cut poultry for custom orders
9) Rotate inventory and use saw and knives to cut poultry for custom orders
10) Use sanitary procedures in handling poultry products
Requirements
1) Minimum 5 years of experience with 2 years in a supervisory role (food-processing facility)
2) Knowledge of quality, HACCP, sanitation and USDA with mathematical and mechanical aptitude
3) Ability to withstand exposure to wet and/or humid conditions (occasionally extreme cold) and lift 50lbs regularly (100lbs occasionally)
