About our client
Our client is a privately owned manufacturer of baked goods. The company has been in operation for over 25 years and has 500+ employees.
Position Location
Production Manager Nearest Metro City: Dayville, CT
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Executive
Responsibilities
1) Plan and direct all activities of the Production Department through effective training and development of staff
2) Organize production activities in timely and cost-effective fashion to ensure that internal and external customer needs are met
3) Responsible for providing a safe work environment by ensuring participation in safety initiatives and leading by example
4) Track key indicators of the plant’s performance including efficiency, yield, waste, downtime, and labor costs and communicating these indicators to the team for further action
5) Provide an atmosphere conducive to positive employee relations and create an atmosphere of team-work and promote company's mission statements and core values
6) Set goals and implement strategies for continuous improvement in quality, processes and waste
7) Directly responsible for product quality, costing and cost management
8) Supervise and motivate plant’s employees by setting a good example with regard to attitude, work quality, safe practices, attendance, follow-through and organization
Requirements
1) Minimum 7 years production management experience
2) Must have bread or dough experience
3) Computer literate in MS excel, word, power point, and email
4) Ability to effectively lead a team of diverse employees with demonstrated leadership
5) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
