About our client
Our client is one of Atlantic Canada’s fastest growing and most diverse food manufacturing facilities; they produces products for both the food service and grocer-retail industries as well as the institutional market.
Position Location
Director - QA Nearest Metro City: Dieppe, NB
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management
Responsibilities
1) Apply, monitor & maintain product quality and food safety procedures & systems for meat, bread and sauce products
2) Product Quality Management, plant audits & quality watch
3) Support new product development, product specification development, and implementation of quality assurance parameters for new products or brand extensions
4) Technical resources and assistance to customer care with respect to effectively managing product complaints, potential food safety concerns and all aspects of recall program
5) Manage and maintain integrity of audit program and procedures
6) Assist Quality Assurance team in the development of new quality initiatives
Requirements
1) Minimum 4 years QA managerial or supervisory industry experience preferably in meat processing
2) Demonstrable experience in food safety, GMP / HACCP implementation / auditing and statistical process control
3) Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a team environment
4) Demonstrated flexibility/ adaptability with superb interpersonal and communication skills
5) Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet use
6) Strong problem solving and decision making skills
7) Previous meat industry experience in a federal plant and bilingualism are strong assets
