About our client
Our client is a privately owned manufacturer of snacks & confectionery. The company has been operation for more than 25 years and has annual sales revenue of over $25MM with 100+ employees.
Position Location
Senior Quality Technician Nearest Metro City: Los Angeles, CA
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience VP Operations & President
Responsibilities
1) Provide leadership and direction to all departments to comply with quality programs including HACCP, GMPs and Regulatory Compliance
2) Manage day to day operations of the lab
3) Initiate and oversee testing procedures
4) Train personnel –Lead and direct staff to achieve daily and annual QA goals
5) Provide coaching on all aspects of QA work processes
6) Review QA results and reports
7) Coordinate and conduct team meetings to maximize and standardize all QA goal, and testing methods
8) Create, update and modify all lab SOP’s. Focus on SSOP compliance, continuous process improvement
9) Furnish periodic reports to Senior Executive Team
10) Ensure all equipment is calibrated and up and running effectively and efficiently
11) Ensure tests are run at set standards with the program
12) Correct non conformances and implement preventive/corrective action
13) Analyze quality, food safety issues and consumer complaints –investigate issues until root cause is identified and corrected
14) Perform statistical analysis utilizing results of QC samples
15) Participate in internal audits
Requirements
1) Minimum 5 years hands on knowledge of food processing, quality assurance, and food safety
2) Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Chemistry or other related science fields desired
3) Strong knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook and other computer systems
4) HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, creation of food safety and audit procedures
