About our client
Our client is a privately owned snacks and confectionery products manufacturer. The company has been in operation for more than 25 years and has multi-million dollar annual revenue.
Position Location
General Manager Nearest Metro City: Columbus, OH
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management
Responsibilities
1) Oversee production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities through a team of functional managers and front-line supervisors
2) Ensure increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines
3) Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving
4) Build and develop operations organization processes and procedures to support strategic direction
5) Manage policy deployment in the areas of manufacturing, quality, cost reduction, safety, customer satisfaction, etc.
6) Lead employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development
7) Ensure compliance with company standards for efficiency, cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety and on-time delivery
8) Lead problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships
9) Determine operations’ headcount needs and ensure compliance with company policies
10) Ensure compliance with company needs for capital investments and improvement projects
11) Manage compliance with state and federal regulations
12) Develop and control plans and budgets
13) Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries
Requirements
1) 5 - 10 years of strong senior level management experience in food manufacturing environment
2) Change management expert with excellent leadership, analysis and decision-making skills
4) 4 year degree in business, engineering or related field
