Management
Responsibilities
1) Prepares and oversees the preparation of a variety of payroll / accounts payable related documents (e.g. invoices for overpayments, retirement plan transfers, payroll register, stop payments, W-2 controls, worker’s compensation checks, 1099 controls, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and issues; meeting compliance requirements, and providing audit references. 2) Oversees workload of department for the purpose of maximizing the efficiency of the work force and meeting operational requirements. 3) Responsible for preparing journals related to accounts payable and payroll. 4) Prepares reconciliation of payroll accounts to ensure proper balances are maintained and supportable. 5) Prepares monthly management reports for executive review.
Requirements
1) 3+ years accounting supervisory experience in food manufacturing or other related industry. 2) 4 year degree in accounting or related field required 3) Understanding of Oracle and Discoverer reporting tools. 4) Ability to develop a variety of reports from various data sources. 5) Knowledge of payroll processing / accounts payable systems and controls.
