About our client
Our client is a publicly owned manufacturer of equipment. The company has been in operation for more than 25 years with over $25M in annual sales.

Supply Chain Manager Ohio
Salary Reports to

Responsibilities
1) Manage purchasing personnel and direct all product purchases, supplies and many other services within the organization
2) Ensure that goods and services are obtained at appropriate cost levels and meet customer satisfaction
3) Partner with local suppliers and international colleagues
4) Develop and maintain a competitive cost/price structure, balancing currency exchange risk by reducing percentage of European supply in coordination with parent company supply chain management
5) Reduce carrying costs of inventory and ensure customer required pace of supply is met or exceeded
6) Manage supply chain activities at the company’s facility
7) Supervise, direct and motivate the Purchasing workforce
8) Develop local, dependable sources of supply for fabrications
9) Ensure cost savings measures are employed and effective
10) Refine the purchasing organization to be lean, dependable and efficient
11) Develop a culture of continuous improvement that influences the rest of the organization
12) Work with Sales and Engineering Department to develop new products and solutions
13) Ensure introduction of e-commerce and e-purchasing to systems in coordination with company’s local headquarters and abroad
14) Work with international Supply-Chain Management Team for global supply solutions
15) Analyze procurement markets and develop vendors in Latin American countries and optimize global sources
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) in Engineering, Business Science or a related field (MBA preferred)
2) 8 – 10 years of experience with 7 years in supply chain/purchasing management with an emphasis on Lean processes
3) Prior working experience in a similar role
4) ISO 9000 procedures and policies experience
5) Knowledge of pumps, hydraulics and rotating equipment preferred
6) Good understanding of purchasing strategies and how they are applied
8) Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, materials usage and application
7) Good understanding of how supply chain fits in with the rest of the business
9) Ability to manage and analyze data
10) Team player with strong work ethics as well as excellent organizational and development skills
11) Creative and innovative individual with strong attention to detail
12) Advanced personnel management skills
13) Excellent math or scientific skills
14) Ability to analyze and resolve problematic situations
