| Responsibilities |
1) Lead, manage and ensure development and execution for Wal-Mart’s Buy/Sell strategy and plan for the company 2) Oversee all communication with Wal-Mart buyers, management of the Wal-Mart replenishment account and the buy-sell program 3) Analyze various replenishment reports, executive summaries, daily activity sheets, projection, daily outs, margin, weekly recap and correction of error reports, including various other reports for Wal-Mart 4) Develop and track yearly budgets for the company and Wal-Mart 5) Lead and manage Replenishment Team as well as develop yearly goals for team members and track achievements 6) Develop contract pricing by commodity with buyer analyst 7) Lead contact with WM Category Manager, HO team leaders, regional buyers, dc buyers, dc quality control personnel, WM central receiving personnel at each DC and store managers in each DC region 8) Train and guide team in procurement and replenishment 9) Work with team and vendor network to get the right product at the right price at the right location at the right time 10) Coordinate SEMs, special buys, timing issues and product availability 11) Train new members of the team in the process of co-management and buy/sell of outside product 12) Work with Wal-Mart buyers to grow product lines with WM through regional products, new pack styles or new varieties 13) Coordinate transition from DCS 2000 system(s) to the new inform and modular based systems 14) Develop Replenishment staff as well as supporting sales staff 15) Gather market information and relay information to customer, team and category directors 16) Work with the Transportation Department and develop transportation contracts (Wal-Mart, Wal-Mart Backhaul and for the company) 17) Develop relations with outside shippers and vendors on various commodity lines needed to supply for company’s customers (WM and others) 18) Work with staff and corporate headquarters departments 19) Maintain daily communication with the VP, Sales and Marketing 20) Work and be presentable to senior management 21) Communicate regularly with strategic partners, customers, vendors, growers and potential new customers 22) Work closely and communicate frequently with management and staff in Operations and Administration |
| Requirements |
1) Degree (4 year) or equivalent experience 2) 8+ years of experience preferably in a similar role and setting (previous relationship with Wal-Mart a plus) 3) Strong leadership and communication skills 4) Ability to read and interpret complete business documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals 5) Ability to write reports, handle correspondence and prepare effective presentations to address wide variety of groups 6) People-person with the ability to multi-task 7) Willingness to travel (approximately 20%) |
