| Responsibilities |
1) Perform sales and marketing activities in the organic industrial ingredient sales space 2) Develop sales forecasts, attend tradeshows and travel to current/prospective new customers 3) Sell product to meet or exceed sales quota 4) Interface with project leaders to help determine what ingredients to produce and in what volumes within seasonal parameters 5) Interface with our private label business to coordinate inventory available to sell to industrial customers 6) Keep product in stock for private label production 7) Participate in development of strategic marketing plan for fruit and vegetable based ingredients 8) Determine what new categories of Ingredients company needs to develop 9) Develop and implement annual sales and expense plan with budget in concert with strategic plan 10) Monitor actual performance vs. budget as well as adjust plan (as needed) to reach or exceed profitability goals 11) Coordination with sales support staff, project leaders and brokers including company President 12) Oversee management of in-house account relationships and outside broker related accounts 13) Travel to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and talks with customers by phone 14) Quote prices and credit terms within agreed upon parameters and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained 15) Coordinate sales activities with private label sales 16) Prepare reports of business transactions and submit reports weekly 17) Coordinate with accounting and accounts receivable problems for customers 18) Participate in the identification and development of new product concepts, new business opportunities 19) Coordinate weekly sales meeting and open order review 20) Help to develop and oversee strategies for entry into new markets 21) Monitor competitive products and companies, recommend changes in strategy where warranted 22) Maintain awareness of new trends in the natural and organic food industry 23) Perform other job-related duties and attend various trade shows as assigned 24) Identify potential sources of new business |
| Requirements |
1) Degree (4 year) 2) 8+ years of experience in managing and selling within industrial fruit ingredient market 3) Knowledge of fruit juices, concentrates, frozen, purees and frozen purees 4) People and broker management experience 5) Experience in sales forecasting, budgeting and expense management 6) Background in industrial sales preferred (along with network and contacts) 7) Good presentation skills with the ability to train others 8) Excellent team building and team participation skills 9) Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook 10) Excellent verbal communication, customer service, organizational skills 11) Ability to negotiate, close deals and maintain contact with key industry people 12) Well-organized self-starter with the ability to lead the sales growth of $20M to $25M 13) Willingness to travel as needed |
