About our client
Our client is a manufacturer of flavors and extracts. The company has been in operation for more than 25 years and employs over 1000 people.
Position Location
Sales Manager Regional – Ingredient Fruit Sales California
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience National Sales Manager
Responsibilities
1) Develop sales in the assigned region/accounts for Ingredients products through direct selling, and existing broker/distributor network
2) Develop and implement overall product /marketing programs for assigned region
3) Introduce new products and sample products to target accounts
4) Achieve the sales and marketing goals set by business management
5) Coordinate field market data to revise sales and marketing strategies and customer product demands related to competition, future trends, new opportunities, regulatory factors, etc.
6) Visit key customers to negotiate and conclude contracts
7) Advise account managers about price conditions for customers negotiations within limits set by management
8) Establish, monitor and approve sales expenses and budgets for the Ingredients Sales group
9) Manage, supervise, develop and coach activities of staff comprised of sales, technical service and administrative function
Requirements
1) 5+ years of proven knowledge in industrial food ingredient sales
2) Experience in value-added fruit ingredients and selling industrial ingredients
3) Experience as a sales rep, broker, commodity trader, etc.
4) Experience in processed fruits, frozen, processed fruit purees, concentrates and juices
5) Industrial sales background
6) Proven track record of innovation and creativity (new juice blends, value added products, etc.)
7) Proven relationships and network of customers and suppliers
8) Excellent presentation skills
9) Ability to grow sales from $2M to $5M
