| Responsibilities |
1) Lead and direct various manufacturing and production functions or facilities 2) Ensure compliance with safety, environment and health of the facility 3) Oversee the overall site performance 4) Ensure quality products are produced/projects completed within budget and within identified timelines 5) Identify business risks and execute necessary change to achieve performance results 6) Lead and develop site leadership teams in alignment with company capabilities 7) Develop and effectively manage budgets in excess of $20M (annually) to mitigate risks 8) Ensure optimal business need and product quality is met through capital investments and expenditures 9) Develop departmental plans including business, production and/or organizational priorities 10) Provide leadership to managers, supervisors and all employees including technical/business support or production/operation staff 11) Ensure as a high level of authority in dealing with the multitude of decisions/challenges required to achieve business and personnel performance 12) Make sure level of decision creates impact on long and short-term business strategy guided by resource availability and functional objectives 13) Ensure daily decisions are guided by preservation of product integrity/compliance with company and regulatory compliance 14) Create zero harm culture 15) Inspire and motivate employees to achieve performance levels and potential through strong coaching skills and using P4G and PDM framework 16) Develop and manage annual operating plans/capital projects and execute actions plans that drive efficiencies 17) Achieve quality standards and comply with company and regulatory agency 18) Develop long term strategic plans that support corporate goals 19) Ensure optimum performance levels are achieved to effectively reduce cost of goods sold 20) Build and leverage relationships with peers within company supply sites in benchmarking and continuous improvement efforts 21) Liaise with company’s NA and Global personnel and external professional, technical and regulatory agencies 22) Maintain high level of technical expertise and compliance 23) Ensure compliance to meet CARM, CTPAT and LTO requirements 24) Lead spokesperson for the collective bargaining renewal process with the local trade union 25) Achieve business plans and compliance with company’s and regulatory requirements 26) Drive business strategy by linking to team and individual performance as well as direct planning and implementation of key plant initiatives |
| Requirements |
1) Degree (4 year) 2) 8+ years of experience in a leadership role in food and beverage manufacturing and/or consumer packaging facility 3) Financial and budgeting experience (managing over $20M) 4) Experience in a unionized environment a plus 5) Strong regulatory technical and communication skills 6) Proven leadership, employee engagement and project management skills 7) Proficiency in computer with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel 8) Excellent data management (spreadsheet) and query skills |
