About our client
Our client is a privately owned food and beverage company. They have been in operation for more than 25 years and employ over 300 people.
Position Location
Front Line Manager Ontario
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management
Responsibilities
1) Lead unionized production employees (60 – 70 employees per shift) to deliver on objectives
2) Oversee 2 – 3 production lines running simultaneously along with packaging lines
3) Uphold all company polices and procedures
4) Oversee the completion of paperwork, administration of production schedule and computerized time card system
5) Work as a team with the other Front Line Managers, Operation Team, support functions and management personnel to ensure proper communication across shifts
7) Assist with Health and Safety meetings
8) Function as a change agent working towards the creation of a more positive work environment
Requirements
1) 4-year degree (Engineering, Business or Science preferred)
2) Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in food manufacturing (unionized environment)
3) Understanding of GMPs, HACCP, health and safety requirements as well as WSIB
4) Knowledge of current collective agreements to ensure proper administration
5) Strong employee relation, managerial and leadership skills
6) Good interpersonal and communication skills
7) Proficient in computers
8) Ability to solve problems, motivate employees, manage conflict and influence through mutual respect
9) Ability to multi task, adapt to change and work in a multi-cultural workforce
10) Willingness to work a combination of days and afternoons as well as rotate between 2 plants close to each other (as needed)
