Executive Management |
| Responsibilities |
1) Provide leadership to the Quality Assurance Team and manage all food safety and quality programs and lab activities of the facility 2) Implement and monitor programs and standards to ensure safe and efficient lab activities 3) Oversee the production of quality and safe food products that comply with government regulations and customer requirements 4) Work with other managers to ensure that employee training and product is consistent 5) Provide leadership and direction to HACCP and food security audit teams and provide feedback to the Plant Management Team 6) Investigate all non-conformance issues in the plant resulting from customer complaints and/or audits and provides appropriate reports and follow-up 7) Audit suppliers as required to ensure compliance with sanitation standards 8) Serve as the main contact person for third party audits and monitors laboratory testing to ensure customer satisfaction 9) Oversee HR management including hiring, promoting, performance management, coaching and discharging within company policy and regulatory compliance 10) Provide effective staff development according to requirements 11) Develop and maintain effective relationships with regulatory agencies, customers and other stakeholders within the organization 12) Provide assistance with R&D test runs and other projects, documents and reports on laboratory processes and provide inventory reports as required 13) Operate in accordance with health, safety and fire prevention regulations and practices 14) Perform other related duties as required |
| Requirements |
1) B.Sc. in Human Nutritional Sciences or Food Science 2) Minimum 5 years of food experience (meat and seafood manufacturing or oil preferred) 3) Managerial experience 4) Expertise in HACCP, ISO 22000 and current government regulations 5) Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills 6) Willingness to travel and work flexible hours |
