| Responsibilities |
1) Support the execution and implementation of sourcing strategies for various food product categories
2) Develop and implement sourcing strategy
3) Conduct commercial evaluations of potential and existing sources of supply
4) Research and implement cost optimization initiatives
5) Oversee vendor auditing, evaluation and selection
6) Improve global supply-chain visibility and contingency planning
7) Document updates on market trends and industry happenings
8) Oversee costing, pricing analysis, cost minimization, product consistency and supply reliability monitoring
9) Ensure adherence to International trade regulations
10) Monitor contract administration, supply-chain risk mitigation and compliance |
| Requirements |
1) Degree (4 year)
2) Experience in purchasing food ingredients as well as finding new co-manufacturers
3) Experience in import and export supply chain as well as knowledge of trade regulations for North America and the Caribbean
4) Experience in the fast moving consumer goods industry and exposure to the ethnic food trade
5) Experience with the formal grocery distribution trade in North America or Europe as well as global procurement of food commodities
6) Proficient in computers and related software applications
7) Good project management and negotiation skills
8) Ability to relate well and communicate effectively at all levels as well as work independently |
