About our client
Our client is a publicly owned manufacturer of ethnic foods. They have been in operation for more than 25 years and employ over 1000 people.
Position Location
Business Development Manager Florida
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience General Manager
Responsibilities
1) Identify and evaluate new markets and channels for the company
2) Develop and implement strategic plans for new market penetration
3) Perform analytical reviews of market and distributor performance
4) Supervise research, advertising and promotions in new channels
5) Develop business plans and presentations to attract new partners in trans-shipment trading
6) Monitor existing operations and report on performance to targets
7) Identify new international business opportunities for the company
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) in Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline
2) Minimum 5 years of international marketing experience (management level) as well as expertise in setting up distributor networks
3) Experience in working with large grocers (expertise in FMCG an asset)
4) Experience of breaking into new markets and setting up distributor network
5) Proficient in software applications for research, data gathering, statistical analysis, report preparation, oral and written presentations
6) Good project management and analytical skills
7) Bilingual in English and Spanish
8) Ability to work effectively within a team environment
9) Willingness to travel overseas (50%)
