About our client
Our client is a publicly owned manufacturer of beverages. The company has been in operation for more than 25 years and has annual sales revenue of over $1B.

Salary Reports to

Responsibilities
1) Provide support to brand management for business planning and analysis (BP&A) for assigned brands
2) Coordinate the analysis of brand margin and contribution drivers including revenue, price promotions, consumer incentives, cost of goods and tactical and marketing spending
3) Develop strong working relationships with brand managers, commercial managers and the Accounting and Finance Team
4) Provide analytical and decision support to the brand teams, specially in the areas of strategic/annual planning, forecasting, brand analysis, budget oversight and brand reporting
5) Provide support and financial education to instill a value-creation mindset throughout the brand management teams to increase marketing effectiveness and efficiency
6) Compile, review, analyze and provide recommendations on key brand P&L components and drivers (depletions, shipments, billings, inventory days, distributor and retailer margins, pricing, etc.)
7) Integrate company strategic initiatives into brand planning and brand management
8) Develop and manage financial models to support brand planning, maximize volume/profitability trade-offs and support short and long-term strategic goals
9) Provide economic analysis and coordination for margin reviews, line extensions, innovation projects and cost savings initiatives/opportunities
10) Analyze and review brand marketing and program spending, impact on financial and strategic goal attainment and return on investment
11) Contribute to the improvement of brand’s financial status by analyzing results and variances, identifying trends and recommending actions
12) Provide practical and consultative financial leadership to drive business decision making within the brands
13) Develop or improve business processes in the delivery of solutions by working effectively with employees
14) Collaborate with all departments and senior management on budget/forecast submissions, presentations and monthly financial performance reviews
15) Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, presenting findings, analysis and recommendations
16) Assist in quarterly business reviews with brand teams
17) Manage monthly brand reporting and related accounting close support
18) Handle budgeting, strategic planning, financial forecasting, reporting and analysis of assigned brands
Requirements
1) BS in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred)
2) Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning/analysis and developing pricing models as well as trade marketing finance
3) Experience in alcoholic beverage industry and knowledge of brand pricing recommendations for promotions
4) Experience in SAP as well as proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
5) Financial modeling expertise and demand planning skills
6) Excellent spreadsheet skills (functions/macros/VBA) and good relational database management skills (Access and enterprise databases)
7) Experience in using syndicated data (such as Nielsen or NABCA) to conduct research and data analysis to resolve complex issues a plus
8) Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience in leading and driving change across the organization
9) Willingness to travel (20%)
