| Responsibilities |
1) Plan, organize, lead and control the Maintenance Department for the plant effectively 2) Oversee the Maintenance Department through subordinate supervisors in Power House, Electrical, General Maintenance, Packaging Maintenance, Stockroom and Waste Water Treatment 3) Communicate goals and objectives clearly and consistently to follow up through the use of KPIs set by the operational framework made of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale and Environment (QCDSME) and visual reports for each of the Maintenance direct reports 4) Develop annual maintenance budget 5) Work with Finance, Production and Safety to develop justification for capital projects and prepare the Requests for Capital Expenditures in a timely fashion 6) Manage all maintenance initiatives to meet deadlines and budgets while optimizing plant efficiency 7) Provide direction for maintaining and operating all physical equipment so as to minimize downtime (OEE) 8) Oversee, maintain and progressively improve a Preventative Maintenance Program 9) Set the standard and lead by example on the key elements of plant health and safety 10) Be a role model for the Maintenance and Engineering Department and oversee proactive daily maintenance and repairs of the installed asset base 11) Maintain and coordinate an ongoing management development program for the supervisory personnel to enhance their managerial potential 12) Oversee the management of regulatory compliance as it applies to federal, provincial and local authorities 13) Foster execution excellence and assist in the transition to a high performance Manufacturing Team |
| Requirements |
1) Degree (4 year) 2) Minimum 5 years of diverse management experience with progressively increased responsibility along with proven supervisory/management experience 3) Successful track record of leading continuous improvement and change within a Lean environment 4) Exposure to and demonstrated experience in working with various areas of plant operations and different levels of company management |
